A heart attack is one of the scariest things a person can experience. Often, people who have had a heart attack didn’t see the early warning signs, nor do they know the best ways to care for themselves following a heart attack.
A heart attack occurs when the blood flow bringing oxygen to the heart muscle is severely reduced or cut off completely.
“More often than not, people who suffered from a heart attack already experienced some of the warning signs but either ignored them because they didn’t think it was that serious or they didn’t seek medical attention until after they had a heart attack – so knowing exactly what to look out for is lifesaving,” said Dr. R. Ramabadran, cardiologist at Medical Associates Clinic in Dubuque.
