Join art instructor Jessica Richardson Tuesdays in July at Sinsinawa Mound Center for a creative summer series designed to inspire young artists through hands-on exploration of color, texture, pattern, and design. Throughout this series, students will participate in three engaging art experiences that build foundational skills while encouraging imagination and personal expression. Projects include watercolor birch tree landscape paintings that explore space, value, and seasonal color; creative doodling inspired by Zentangle patterns that encourage focus, mindfulness, and playful design; and collage illustrations inspired by children’s book artists like Lois Ehlert and Eric Carle. Each class offers a balance of guided instruction and creative freedom as students work with a variety of materials in a supportive environment. Classes are open to all skill levels and youth ages (children ages 5 and under are encouraged to have a parent or guardian present). Adults are welcome to stay and participate. Classes take place July 14, 21, and 28 from 10 AM to Noon. Register online at Sinsinawa.org/moundcenter in the events section or call 608-806-6087.
