The Dubuque Noon Lions award scholarships each year to blind Dubuque area High School graduates. This year’s scholarship went to Nathan Meyer, a Hempstead graduate. Nathan graduated in the top 1/3 of his class with a 3.3595 G.P.A. He will be attending the Iowa Empowerment and Independence Center in Des Moines, IA; focusing on computer technology and industrial arts.
