UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital is bringing back the annual Bike Safety Rodeo for children ages 5-9.
The event, which had a 20+ year history in the Dubuque community before the pandemic, is returning on Saturday, May 11 from 9 AM to Noon at the Dubuque Fire Safety Training Facility, 14928 Public Safety Way.
In partnership with local organizations such as the Dubuque Fire Department, Dubuque Police Department, and more, there will be a bike safety course, bicycle safety checks, helmet fittings, tours of the UnityPoint Health LifeGuard medical helicopter (weather dependent), helmet giveaways to 50 children, and a bike raffle.
The Dubuque Community School District will also be in attendance with their mobile outreach bus, offering bus safety education and routes to school.
