Join Laura Lopez for Youth Art Explorers, a fun and encouraging monthly youth art class designed to help students grow their creativity and artistic skills in a welcoming environment at Sinsinawa Mound Center. Whether your child is just beginning or ready for more advanced projects, there is a class tailored to each experience level. Upcoming classes will be held one Monday per month, July 6, Aug. 3, and Sept. 14. Beginner class runs from 10 to 11:30 AM, and intermediate class is held from 1 to 2:30 PM. Cost is $15 per student (third sibling attends free). Parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to stay and participate. Children aged 5 and younger are encouraged to have a parent or guardian present. Families with children of different skill levels are welcome to attend the same session for convenience; however, please note that the morning class is geared toward beginners, while the afternoon class is designed for intermediate-level students and may include more challenging projects and techniques.
Art instructor Laura Lopez has nearly five years of experience leading activities, workshops, and classes at Eagle Pointe Place in Dubuque, Ia. She also has taught English as a Second Language and holds an associate of arts degree. Laura is passionate about sharing creativity and artistic skills with others. As a wife and stay-at-home mom, she understands the importance of providing engaging, hands-on learning experiences for children. When she’s not creating art, she enjoys baking, dancing, and listening to audiobooks. Laura looks forward to helping students discover their creativity and build confidence through art.
