Fundamentals Instructor Daneen Bernhardt, RN, BSN, is certified in Tai Chi.“My passion has always been helping people,” she said. “For 32 years, I have been a home health and hospice nurse which gave me a deep understanding of how bodies move, heal, and stay safe. With 14 years of teaching experience, I love blending my medical background with the gentle art of movement. My goal for this class is to create a welcoming and calming space to help others improve balance, flexibility, and a sense of confidence in their movement.” Sinsinawa Mound, an event center and Motherhouse of the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters in Wisconsin, is about five miles northeast of Dubuque, Iowa, and 10 miles northwest of Galena, Illinois.
