April celebrates Environmental Awareness Month, and folks in Dubuque’s Tri-State area will have several opportunities to join in the effort to promote sustainability and the environment.
Sustainability or “a community’s ability to meet the environmental, economic, and social equity needs of today without reducing the ability of future generations to meet their needs” goes hand-in-hand with promoting the environment. Becoming a more sustainable city was identified as a top priority by Dubuque’s Mayor and City Council in 2006.
