A Merry Millwork Market is returning for its 7th year.
Join the Gronen and Wicked River Event Production teams for A Merry Millwork Market on Friday, Dec. 1st
from 4-8 pm, and Saturday, Dec. 2nd from 9 am-2 pm in the Schmid Innovation Center Courtyard at
955 Washington St., and on 10th St. This free celebration is open to the public and children are
welcome.
Warm up under the tents and shop the best of local crafts, sips, & bites for your gift-giving needs this
holiday season. From local artists to woodworkers, ceramic makers, and treats like baked goods
and hot beverages – there is something for everyone at this year’s Market.
Friday night’s opening tradition is a family favorite, and includes performances of holiday tunes from
the Americana Band and Dubuque Music Men, with a tree lighting ceremony at 6pm followed by a
visit from Santa.
On Saturday, visitors can catch more caroling from Duhawkapella, choreography from Adam’s Dance
Connection, holiday magic tricks by local magic club Ring 93, and a local Boutique Fashion Show at
11am. The Millwork Collective will be coordinating horse & carriage rides on Saturday. The public can
purchase tickets for rides beginning at 9am.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Millwork Collective, a group of nonprofits located in the lower
level of the Schmid Innovation Center who work together to operate more efficiently, and generate
increased impact through co-location and shared services. The resulting collaboration provides cost
savings, while fostering new opportunities and a greater focus on each partner’s individual mission.
The Millwork Collective comprises: Compass To Care, Dubuque Chorale, Habitat For Humanity,
Junior Achievement of the Heartland, Mary’s Inn, Presentation Lantern Center, and Vision To Learn.
Many thanks to the very generous 2023 sponsors: 7G Distributing, Capra Bank, Cottingham & Butler,
