Carnegie-Stout Library’s “Photography Through New Eyes” will be held on Friday, June 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Featuring photographers Tom Kedzie, Christy Kirk, Vickie Klinkhammer, Andrew Sager, and Luke Stumpf.
Kedzie’s work offers a sense of impact, drama, and color to photos taken by his cell phone, and digitally manipulated through various programs. Kirk’s inspiration as a photographer comes from flower gardens, local landmarks, and local scenery. Klinkhammer uses her photos to create wearable art and brings forward the natural beauty of the earth. Sager, a film photographer, works with antique cameras and lenses. His therapeutic approach to creating black and white photographs, while waiting in anticipation for the film to develop sparks his joy. Stumpf’s works reflect his interests and personality, primarily drawing from his love of mother nature.
Meet the artists and shop for a unique gift while supporting local artists. Music provided by the faculty of Northeast Iowa School of Music.
