Bell Tower Theater Announces Kids Take the Stage Youth Theater Classes

The Bell Tower Theater is excited to announce that their award-winning program Kids Take the Stage Youth Theater Classes will feature Spring Break Classes. Kids from third to eighth grade can immerse themselves in the wonderful world of theater this Spring Break.

Bell Tower Theater Artistic Associate Michelle Blanchard and guest artist Heather Noethe will teach 2 different classes. Under their guidance, kids will learn and have fun.

Spring Break Camps 2004     March 11 to 15, 2024

Registration Deadline is March 1, 2024

Theater Crafts Camp     Grades 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th 

Be ready to get your hands dirty as we head behind the scenes to learn how Props and Costumes for shows get made. Each day students will try a new crafty project that can be used for future theater shows, Halloween or everyday imagination exploration. Limit to 12 kids.

Teacher: Michelle Blanchard. Cost $65. This class will meet every day, Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Improv 101     Grades 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th

Calling all kids interested in theater, public speaking or just having fun. This week-long camp will teach basic fundamentals and skills of improvisational acting. Through a series of games and exercises, kids will benefit from creating trust, quick wit and a new perspective on a craft that can benefit them both on and off the stage. Limit to 12 kids.

Teacher: Heather Noethe. Cost: $65. This class will meet every day, Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 2 PM.

Classes are held in the classroom and on the stage at the Bell Tower Theater, 2728 Asbury Road in Dubuque’s West End. Financial assistance scholarships are available for qualified families.
