An enchanted rose and a talking clock, candlestick, and teapot … it could only be Beauty and the Beast! The Panto Company USA will bring this beloved tale to life in a spellbinding family show that stars Dame Dotty Potty, Loopy Louie, Gaston, Belle, and, of course, the Beast. As Belle is held captive in the castle, audience members will enjoy finding out if she falls in love with the Beast before the last petal falls from the enchanted rose or if the Beast’s selfishness will cost him the world he once knew and the hand of the girl that has melted his heart.

The performance will be filled with all the ingredients audiences have come to expect from The Panto Company USA: lots of laughter, stunning costumes, lovely music, and plenty of magic. Join all your favorite characters in this unforgettable and magical adventure.

The Dubuque County Library District offers a “Page to Stage” educational activity in conjunction with the performance. Children are invited to create a 3D diorama of their favorite fairy tale for free with “Fairy Tale Dioramas.” Each child who attends will receive one free child’s admission with the purchase of an adult admission to Beauty and the Beast. “Fairy Tale Dioramas” will be offered from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Epworth Branch, 4:30 to 5:30 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Peosta Branch, and 6:15 to 7:15 PM Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Holy Cross Branch. People are encouraged to register for the activity by Monday, March 25, 2024, at Dubcolib.org.
