The Dubuque County Board of Health has selected Allie M. White as the Director of the Dubuque County Health Department. White will succeed Patrice Lambert who retired at the end of 2021. Currently, Stacey Killian, executive director of the Dubuque Visiting Nurse Association is serving as the Interim Director.
The Board of Health and the Health Department are set to embark on a new strategic planning process, as well as initiating the Community Health Needs Assessment. The Health Department’s mission is to protect, promote, and enhance the health and well-being of all people and the environment in Dubuque County.
White has been serving as the Health Services Coordinator for the Dubuque Community School District, and has previously served as a health professional in several capacities across the tri-state area. White has a master’s degree in nursing administration from Fort Hays State University in Kansas, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Clarke University in Dubuque. White’s duties as Health Director will begin in late December.
