UnityPoint Health – Finley Health Foundation is pleased to announce female group sensation and Grammy nominee Wilson Phillips as the feature act for the annual Miracles on the Mississippi Gala. The Gala will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the Diamond Jo Casino.
Wilson Phillips is an American vocal group consisting of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson, and Chynna Phillips, the daughters of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & Papas, respectively. Their 1990 debut album sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and placed three number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, making the trio the best-selling female group at the time. In 1990, the group won the Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 Single of the Year for “Hold On,” and in addition was nominated for five Grammy Awards and two American Music Awards.
Funds raised at the 2020 Miracles on the Mississippi Gala will remain local to benefit programs and services at Finley Hospital.
The event schedule includes the Miracles on the Mississippi Gala program with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, live auction, and Wilson Phillips in concert.
