The Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency (DMASWA), along with community partners, conducted five mobile collection events this year. Events were held in Cascade (Spring and Fall) and Delaware County and at Mt. St, Francis and Murphy Park.
At the mobile events 23,054 pounds of household hazardous materials, 20,962 pounds of latex paint, 29,725 pounds of e-waste and 14,860 pounds of tires were collected from 713 Dubuque and Delaware County residents.
The DMASWA offers ongoing free drop off for household hazardous materials at the Regional Collection Center located at the Landfill for Dubuque & Delaware County residents. Residents can bring in materials anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Businesses need to call ahead for an appointment.
