One would have to travel quite a distance to arrive in Algeria in Northwest Africa. Luckily for us, we have only to travel to Elkader, IA to enjoy the cuisine of Algeria. Are you as surprised as I was to find an Algerian restaurant in northeast Iowa? And it has been there for the past 14 years! We happened upon it one Sunday when we needed a change of scenery and found ourselves in the town of Elkader. The large patio first attracted us as we could see there was plenty of room to socially distance. What we also found was a wonderful culinary discovery.
