After moving into 1201 Locust Street one year ago, the non-profit Bluff Strokes Art Center now celebrates providing high quality art education, collaborative creative spaces, and rich professional development for artists. Having launched drawing and painting courses this spring, the art center is looking forward to providing a full calendar of art learning for beginners through professionals.
Bluff Strokes Art Center names four major impacts of arts programming. Art heals bodies and minds; enhances learning and academic achievement; improves the economy; and strengthens community connections. Executive Director, Rachel Daack reinforces the art center’s mission, “Making and learning about art touches a core part of us. When touched by art, we become more than we were—more calm, more focused, more energized…”
Bluff Strokes Art Center’s grand opening will be on May 29 from 5-7 PM with live music, a food truck, art making, and class registration. Visit BluffStrokes.org for event details.
