The UnityPoint Health Finley Health Foundation is the recipient of two grants from Variety – the Children’s Charity. The first grant, in the amount of $12,000, will be used to support the purchase of a Portable Bedside Ultrasound System for the Family Birthing Suites in UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital. Portable ultrasound equipment provides more timely and accurate diagnoses at the patient’s bedside.
A second grant awarded in the amount of $7,010, will be used to provide program incentives for the completion of the Parent Education Program of the UnityPoint Health Visiting Nurse Association (VNA). The program offers in-home parent skill development and child development education to families living in Dubuque County who are at risk for abuse and neglect.
Variety – the Children’s Charity is dedicated to improving the lives of children who are underprivileged, at-risk, critically ill, or living with special needs.
