A cancer diagnosis is life changing and unfortunately, the number of new cancer cases diagnosed every year in the United States is staggering. The American Cancer Society reports that more than 1.8 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2020 – including 18,460 in Iowa. The good news is that more than 16.9 million Americans with a history of cancer were alive on January 1, 2019 – folks who were diagnosed years ago and have had no reoccurrence of cancer.
Dubuque’s cancer treatment centers and oncologists do battle with cancer every day – offering cancer screening, accurate diagnosis, and effective, state-of-the-art treatment.
