Honor Flight of Dubuque and the Tri-States is one of 128 active, non-profit hubs scattered across the United States that share a common mission “to honor and thank the Americans who secured our freedom by bringing them to the nation’s capital to see the memorials that commemorate their service.” Since 2005, the National Honor Flight Network has escorted more than 275,000 veterans from all branches of military service to Washington, D.C., where they visit and reflect on memorials built to commemorate and honor their service and sacrifice.
