Southwest Health is excited to bring back the beloved Berry Fest, part of Platteville “Hometown Festival Week”.
On Tuesday, July 23, Southwest Health will host family-friendly activities and programs perfect for kids of all ages and their parents. With over 17 community partners, Southwest Health will be sharing resources and healthy living activities while promoting a fun and safe environment.
Activities start at 4:30 PM on Tuesday night at the Broske Center at Legion Park. Community members are encouraged to join in on the fun. This year’s Berry Fest includes ambulance tours, the chance to spray a real fire hose and see fire trucks up close, a 40 yard dash with speed checks from the Platteville Police Department, the ever-popular mascot race at 6:00 PM, sidewalk chalk art activity by Platteville Arts, Trails, and History (PATH) volunteers, and much more all accompanied by DJ Charlie Clark and Classic Reunion Music Services, plus other activities, all free-of-charge.
There will also be a range of food available for purchase inside the Broske Center at Legion Park, including pulled pork and chicken salad sandwiches, desserts and more. Berry Fest is organized each year by Southwest Health and made possible with the help of many employee volunteers and others from around the Platteville area.
