The Taste of Summer event is back at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium for three separate events featuring vendors and musicians from around Dubuque. Guests are invited to come after-hours in the boatyard and plaza. The Taste of Summer is open to all ages and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to use as a limited number of picnic tables will be available.
The event will take place June 6, June 27, and August 1. Food and beverages will be available beginning at 5 PM, as well as live music running from 5 PM – 9 PM. Ample parking will be available in the public lot outside of the River Museum. Visitors can enter at either the Mississippi River Discovery Center (paddlewheel) or National River Center entrances.
At each event, food vendors will compete for the “People’s Choice” award, voted on by attendees. Beverages will also be available for purchase. Admission is a suggested $5 donation to support conservation programs at the River Museum, and beverage sales will also support the efforts.
