Musician David Zach to Present on Human Trafficking

Musician David Zach will present at Northeast Iowa Community College’s Peosta campus Conference Center on January 23 and at the Wilder Business Center on the Calmar campus on January 27. Both presentations will begin at 1 PM and are free and open to the public.

Zach is the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band Remedy Drive as well as an advocate in the fight against human trafficking. He spends time overseas as a volunteer undercover operative with the abolitionist group, The Exodus Road. His role while undercover is to identify instances of minors being sold and to capture actionable evidence of their trafficking which leads to rescues and arrests in partnership with local authorities. The idea that ordinary human beings can impact change for freedom and justice is central to the message he brings to audiences across the world.

“Justice is in the hands of the ordinary. Ordinary people like you and me – but with such a capacity for greatness under the surface of this skin and these bones we’re in. It’s the fire that is welling up inside of you right now, from the core of your being, from the depths of your spirit, from the farthest reaches in the deepest hidden chamber of your heart,” Zach said.
