The Dubuque Symphony Orchestra returns to the Mississippi Moon Bar at the Diamond Jo Casino 8:00 PM Thursday, January 15, Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17, 2026 for its newly named DSO Rocks! performances (formerly Ultimate Rock Hits)
The concerts feature chart topping hits from the 1970’s to the present and will include covers ranging from Bon Jovi and George Michael to Ozzy Osbourne and Def Leppard. The orchestra will join forces with Dubuque-native vocalist and virtuoso electric violinist Ginny Luke and some of the region’s top bands, including Joie Wails, The Rocking Dead, DZ Combo, State of Static, Ozzy and BonJoeB, Yellow Brick Road and Boogie Monster, to deliver an electrifying concert experience.
“I’m so excited for the terrific line up of talent, songs, and special features!” shares Music Director and Conductor William Intriligator. “New singers Brian Larson and Cheri Westendorf—both from The Rockin’ Dead—are terrific additions to the singing roster! Brian will sing an original song from his days as lead singer of the band Vaduz.
With Ozzy Osborne’s passing, we will have three tribute songs to him. We will feature Dubuque native Ginny Luke, currently working as a rock violinist and singer based in L.A., as a singer, violinist, and rock star performing an original song of hers as well as some Guns N’ Roses. DSO Concertmaster Nash Ryder and cellist Sam Day will also be featured. Rapper Wxlley, a longtime DSO collaborator, will perform an original song, and local singer Jake Ramos will also be featured in an original song by his band Autumn Reverie. This show will truly rock, so don’t miss it!”
A third performance on Thursday evening was added this year, offering dance floor/standing admission right in front of the stage, allowing audience to get up close, move to the music and be part of the excitement.
