The public is invited to the Art @ your library® Artist Opening Reception featuring artists Stephanie Funke, Kathleen Martin, and Kara Maxwell on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
Funke shares her mixed media art that has taken the Zentangle® tangles she produces into profound photography of nature with inspirational messages. Martin creates unique miniatures of what she likes to refer to as individual rooms inside little terrariums. She makes her “rooms” as inviting as possible hoping the viewer will imagine themselves there. Mixed media artist Maxwell features plein air watercolors of local cemeteries, still life charcoal drawings, and whimsical stained-glass lamps.
