The Bell Tower Theater is excited to announce its 12th-annual Free Summer Musical Program: High School Edition show. This summer some of the area’s most talented high school performers will perform Heathers the Musical: Teen Edition, directed by Bell Tower Theater Artistic Associate Michelle Blanchard.
Based on the 1989 cult classic movie, Heathers The Musical: Teen Edition is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously handsome new kid, J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to suck it up… but J.D. has another plan. Performers will be high school kids from throughout the area.
The Bell Tower Theater is in Fountain Park at 2728 Asbury Road in the city’s vibrant West End just minutes from both Highway 20 and the Northwest Arterial. Performances of Heathers The Musical: Teen Edition are June 13, 14, 20, 21 at 7:30 PM and June 15 & 22 at 2 PM. Tickets for all performances are $15.
