The Grand Opera House is the recipient of a $5,000 Dubuque Racing Association Grant. Funds were used to purchase 10 new lighting instruments that will improve the quality of future Grand Opera House productions.
On January 20, 2021, the Dubuque Racing Association announced grant awards totaling $410,000 to 72 area charitable organizations. The grants came as a shot in the arm to charitable organizations as they try to emerge from the shadow of the pandemic. Grant awards ranged from $670 to $10,000. A complete listing of all grant recipients is available at dradubuque.com. The Dubuque Racing Association (DRA) has been a vital part of the community since its inception in 1985.
