The recipients for the 2022 Molony Foundation scholarships are Jami Jo Kruse, Beckman Catholic High School; Callie Lynch, Cascade High School; Erin Knipper, Cascade High School /Mount Mercy University; and Kaylynn Vosberg, Potosi High School/NICC.
In May, Knipper and Vosberg received the Molony Foundation Nursing Scholarship, given to individuals pursuing a career in nursing. Candidates are chosen based on their demonstration of the Molony’s qualities of kindness, compassion, and ambition.”
Each received a $2,500 scholarship that can be used at a two-year or four-year college for college tuition, or tuition related expenses such as books. In addition, in honor and memory of Kay Molony, co-founder of the Foundation a renewing scholarship will be awarded to one award winner each year. This year the new scholarship was awarded to Erin Knipper. Knipper will receive $2500 up to four years for her nursing pursuit.
Kruse and Lynch were awarded $2500 through the Josie (Molony) & Ray Feeney scholarship. This scholarship encourages 4-H members to advance into post-high school education at a recognized two-year or four-year college or university.
The Molony Foundation is dedicated to supporting entities within the community that reflect values of self-reliance, ambition, humility and honesty. The goal is to encourage and enable students to advance into post-high school education at a recognized two-year or four-year college or university.
