The Carnegie-Stout Public Library now offers a sound isolation booth complete with recording equipment, computer software, and accessories. The “WhisperRoom” is an ideal space for recording vocals, doing a podcast, practicing an instrument, and more. The library WhisperRoom is open to the public and free to use.
Adding a sound isolation booth as another library service came about due to patron requests. The WhisperRoom opened this summer and has proven to be a successful new service at the library.
Anyone interested in using the WhisperRoom should visit the Maker Space on the second floor of the library, email MakerSpace@dubuque.lib.ia.us, or call (563) 589-4225, ext. 2246.
