Camp Courageous is honored to be chosen as the non-profit charity selected by Bloomsbury Farm to be part of their annual fall corn maze. Bloomsbury Farm has incorporated the Camp’s logo into their maze design for 2022 as well as a tribute to the Camp’s 50th anniversary.
Bloomsbury Farm held a corn maze reveal event on September 1 to showcase the Camp Courageous design. The Petersen Family-owned operation opened the farm exclusively for over 100 campers to enjoy all of their activities and be part of a reveal event. Economic Alliance members, Bloomsbury Farm staff, and Camp Courageous campers and staff participated in an official ribbon cutting during the reveal. One of camp’s first campers, Charlie Cummins, had the honor of cutting the ribbon to officially open the maze for the season with camp’s CEO Charlie Becker and Bloomsbury Farm Manager Sammy Petersen.
Camp Courageous campers came from all over Iowa to be part of the Bloomsbury Farm corn maze reveal event and enjoy a day at the farm. Before and after the ribbon cutting of the corn maze, Campers had fun with a giant slide, petting zoo, jumping pillow, swings, and more. The farm has an all-accessible hayride, which allowed all campers an opportunity to be included. The Bloomsbury Farm staff went all-out to make sure that the campers had a great experience.
Bloomsbury Farm will open their corn maze to the public on September 16 and it will remain open through the month of October.
