Thanks to volunteers the 100th At-Home Learning Desk will be delivered next week. The FDPS has been working with Richard Szydlowski and other volunteers since November to build desks for students that desire a dedicated place to do their work. The FDPS has received feedback on the desks and now has three different desk options that work for different student needs.
Funding and supplies to build even more desks are available thanks to Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. and their partnership with the FDPS. Spahn & Rose and volunteer builders allow the foundation to get desks into the homes of students. If you are interested in learning more about this project, please contact Amy Unmacht at amyu@dbqfoundation.org or (563) 588-2700. If your child is in need of a desk, please contact your school counselor.
