Join us for our Women of the Land Retreat: Rooted in Rhythms at Sinsinawa Mound Center beginning October 16 at 4 PM to October 18 at 2 PM. Women are invited to explore the cycles that shape their lives, the rhythms of land and soil, seasons and bodies, and relationships and spirit. Come ready to slow down, pay attention, engage in creativity, learn from the land, and consider what this season of your life is asking of you. Cost is $50 per person; $25 for those experiencing financial scarcity which will be subsidized by the Ryan Family Retreat Fund; and $25 additional per night for overnight accommodation.
The weekend offers days of meaningful exploration. Participants will create a personal field book, explore the rhythms of the body, learn to observe seasonal changes in the landscape, explore native species and belonging, and engage with the cycles of soil, farming, planting, harvest, and renewal. Saturday culminates in a hands-on session of “Planning Your Year on the Land” followed by conversation with other women about the realities, challenges, and possibilities of life and work on the land. Upon arrival on Friday, women will enjoy an exhibit tour, shared meal, and time around the bonfire. Sunday creates space for movement, reflection, spiritual practice, and a closing ritual centered on the question, “What will you cultivate next?”
Register online at Sinsinawa.org/moundcenter in the “events” section or call 608-806-6087. To preserve the intimate, personal nature of this retreat, space is limited.
