The Bell Tower Theater to Hold Auditions and Crew Sign-Up for Kid-For-Kids Musical

The Bell Tower Theater is pleased to announce auditions and crew sign-up for its 18th-annual summer kids-for-kids musical Disney Descendants for Friday, May 16 from 3 PM to 7 PM, and Saturday, May 17 from 9 AM to 12 Noon and 1 PM to 3 PM at the Bell Tower Theater, 2728 Asbury Road in Dubuque. Callbacks (by invitation only) will be Monday, May 19 from 4 PM to 6 PM.

The Bell Tower Theater is seeking children aged 7 to 18 for 80-90 on-stage roles (two casts) and kids aged 7 to 18 for 80-100 backstage roles. All those auditioning for an onstage role will be asked to sing and read from the script at the audition. Auditioners are encouraged to prepare a song and a script selection from the samples available at Belltowertheater.net.  Kids wanting to sign up for backstage roles which include set construction, costumes, lights, ticket sales and more should sign up on May 16 or 17 as well. The show is directed by Bell Tower Theater Artistic Associate Michelle Blanchard.

Participation in the program is free of charge for all kids. Rehearsals will be held Monday through Friday afternoons from May 29 to July 9. Performances are Thursdays through Sundays from July 10 to July 19, 2025. Cast members will be expected to attend rehearsals most weekdays in June and every weekday from June 30 to July 9 as well as every performance for his/her cast. Time commitments for crew members vary.

An informational open house will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Stop in any time. All are welcome.
