The Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens has started a fundraising effort to help restore their koi pond. The pond’s aging pump and lack of a filtration system are causing murky water and halted waterfalls. To improve water quality, health, and aesthetics, they are looking to raise the $180,000 needed to install a new pump and filtration system. An updated system will reduce chemical use, improve water clarity, provide a better habitat for the koi, and enhance the garden’s beauty. To help, you can donate online at DububueArboretum.net or mail a check to 3800 Arboretum Drive, Dubuque, Iowa 52001. Please indicate that your donation is for the koi pond project.
