Lenten Virtual Series: What Is The State Of Our Common Heart? – Wednesdays Mar. 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 @ 7 PM
Sr. Sarah Kohles, OSF will offer an examination of conscience this Lent as she explores the state of our common heart by reflecting on “heart passages” from Scripture. In addition to reflecting on the personal need for conversion of the heart characteristic of the season of Lent, Sr. Sarah will also invite participants to consider what it means to transform our common heart. What does the Gospel of Matthew mean when calling us to be “humble of heart,” and what is Philippians asking of us when challenging us to be “united in heart?”

Reading That Matters: March Book Discussion with Eileen Miller, OSF – Tuesday, Mar. 14 @ 3:30 PM-5 PM
March Book: I Am a Bacha Posh: My Life as a Woman Living as a Man in Afghanistan by Ukmina Manoori. Ukmina decided to confront social and family pressure and keep her menswear. This brave choice paved the way for an extraordinary destiny. This is a stunning and brave memoir about a little-known practice that will challenge your perceptions about gender and the courage it takes to live your life to the fullest.

Walking And Praying In The Labyrinth – Tuesday, Mar. 14 @ 5:30 PM-6:30 PM
Is life too busy to sit and pray? We invite you to come and walk the labyrinth which is a sacred journey of prayer. This is a silent, prayerful practice suitable for older teens and adults.

Winter’s cold, dark days have passed; we look forward to a new season in gratitude and hope! Let us offer this new season a warm welcome at Shalom’s Spring breakfast! Gather with friends and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lively Lenten presentation by Sr. Ginny Heldorfer, OSF.

Lunch and Renew: Chair Yoga – Wednesday, Mar. 15 @ 11:30 PM-12:30 PM
Winter Shake off! Movement creates energy. Let’s prepare body, mind, and spirit for spring with simple Chair Yoga poses while relieving neck, shoulder, and back tension, followed by a simple and delicious lunch! Facilitator: Deb May.

Meditation And Music: Sound Healing – Monday, Mar. 20 @ 6:30 PM-7:30 PM
A wonderful meditative & healing session.

Day Of Self-Renewal – Thursday, Mar. 23 @ 9 AM-4:30 PM
This day just for you will begin with a group guided meditation and offers your choice of two services (see below), a private guest room, delicious lunch, and access to our chapel, grounds, and labyrinth. Enjoy a quiet reading space, nap in your private room, or enjoy peaceful prayer time in the chapel. Participants can choose from the following: massage, reflexology, sound healing meditation, life/wellness coaching or spiritual direction.

Have you ever looked at a potato and wondered how such a humble spud made its way into cuisine around the world? Join us and learn all about where your food really comes from and how humans domesticated and distributed some of the most common vegetables we consume today.

An Evening of Music and Reflection with Dan Schutte (on site) – Friday, Mar. 10 @ 7 PM-9 PM
Special emphasis for this concert will be on our beloved Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa as most of them will be moving to Muskego, WI this spring. Come and join us as we send them forth on their next chapter of their adventure with God.

Mary Oliver, probably the most popular American poet of the last 25 years, explores through her poetry the natural and spiritual worlds in ways that amaze, puzzle, engage and intrigue her readers. Join us for a lively conversation around a diverse group of her poems!

Journaling: The Journey Inward (on site) – Saturday, Mar. 18 @ 9 AM-12 PM
Our unconscious is like the bulk of a huge iceberg whose small tip is all we see. Ever want to go deeper? Journaling is a good way. Whether it is new to you or a continuation of past practice, come and share the experience with us!

Wild Church: Spring Equinox (on site) – Monday, Mar. 20, 5:30 PM-7 PM
Fire and song, ritual and community, prayer and quiet: this inclusive, outdoor gathering is centered on honoring this day of equal light and dark – the sacred time of Spring Equinox on the sacred land of Sinsinawa Mound.

Women of the Bible is a dramatic presentation told through the many diverse voices of women for the Old and New Testaments. Anita Gutschick reaches across the ages to vividly portray biblical women.

Women of the Bible: Dinner Performance (on site) – Wednesday, Mar. 22 @ 12 PM-3:30 PM
Anita Gutschick reaches across the ages to vividly portray biblical women. Through a series of monologues, these women recount their personal stories, shedding light on their lives in a dramatic and engaging way.

Glass Art Class: Garden Stakes (on site) – Saturday, Mar. 25 @ 10 AM-12 PM
Get ready for a beautiful garden this summer. You will make 3 garden stakes out of glass which will be attached to a metal stake for indoor or outdoor use.

Glass Art Class: Soap Dish (on site) – Saturday, March 25 @ 1 PM-3 PM
Design your own coordinating floral soap dish and wall hanging using a paint and frit technique. Choose a floral design or be creative and make a design of your own.

Kiss the Ground: A Spirituality & Ethic of the Garden (via Zoom) – Tuesday, Mar. 28 @ 7 PM-8 PM
Our spirituality and responsibility to the world must begin with an awareness that we are a part of – not apart from – the living world. The garden is the model for understanding who we are as humans within sacred ground.
