The 2022-23 school year marks a time of transition for both the Dubuque and Western Dubuque Community School Districts with teachers, principals, and superintendents stepping into new positions.
New superintendents Dr. Daniel Butler of Western Dubuque Community School District (WDCSD) and Amy Hawkins of Dubuque Community School District (DCSD) began their education in Dubuque, graduated from Hempstead High School, and are now poised to assume the highest leadership position within their respective districts.
