Sips & Tips: Canned Wine – Is It Worth It?

I surprised the Wine Crew this month with four different wines, in cans. Upstairs from where I get my haircut in Platteville, WI is SpeakeasyFifty50 (130 Market St.), and that is where the wines were purchased. Lisa Haas, owner, (and my barber) has a retail license and is able to sell the wine for take home.

The wines we tasted included a Sparkling Rosé from the ‘if you see kay’ winery in Paso Robles, CA; a Chardonnay and a Red Blend from Alloy Wine Works in the Central Coast of California, and an Odessa Red Sangria from Wisconsin. It was an interesting afternoon of sampling, with mixed, but mostly positive findings.
