The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium has been awarded $2,500 from the American Fundraising Foundation (AmFund) as an expanded effort on the foundation’s part to support nonprofit organizations that were adversely impacted during the pandemic. The Golden Pear Award, as it is called, was given to 40 recipients from a pool of over 2,100 grant applicants.
Funds awarded to the River Museum will support daily needs associated with maintaining the health and wellbeing of both living and historic collections.
