City Of Dubuque Announces Arts & Culture Creative Resiliency Grant Opportunity

The City of Dubuque and the Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Commission is now accepting applications from eligible parties through a new, non-recurring Creative Resiliency grant program for the fiscal year (FY) 2022 grant cycle, which runs July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.

The Creative Resiliency grant program aims to offer limited, flexible support to arts, humanities, and cultural nonprofit organizations operating within Dubuque city limits to undertake activities that expand organizational capacity, increase financial stability, promote equity and inclusion, or enhance programmatic offerings in response to COVID-19 and / or inequity concerns exacerbated in 2020.

Funds will be awarded on a competitive basis with awards ranging from $750 to $1,500 based on prior year organizational operating budgets. The program utilizes balances remaining in the FY21 adopted budget for arts and culture activities of the Economic Development Department.

Applications for the Creative Resiliency program are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, July 9, 2021. All information related to application guidelines, scoring rubric, and access to the online application forms are available at CityofDubuque.org/2984/Creative-Resiliency-Grant.

To learn more about the Creative Resiliency grant program, a free informational webinar will be offered on Friday, June 11, from 2-3 PM. Webinar attendees should register in advance at CityofDubuque.org/2984/Creative-Resiliency-Grant; webinar recording will be posted to the City’s website for those unable to attend live.
