City Announces Business Assistance Grant Program to Help Dubuque Businesses Impacted by COVID

The City of Dubuque announced the Business Assistance Grant Program to help low- to moderate-income (LMI) owned businesses in Dubuque negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program is utilizing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to provide grants up to $3,000 to cover qualifying business expenses. To be eligible, business owners must meet the required income guidelines and complete 10 professional development mentoring sessions.

Completed applications will be processed in the order they are received. Applications will be accepted until April 30, 2021, or until the grant funds are depleted, whichever occurs first. No grant funds will be awarded after June 30, 2021.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Must meet the required income guidelines.
  • Must complete 10 professional development mentoring sessions.

The LMI Business Assistance Grant Program application and income qualifications are available at CityofDubuque.org/econdev. For questions or more information, call the City of Dubuque Economic Development Department at 563.589.4213.
