Hills & Dales has received a $4,889 grant from Variety – the Children’s Charity to fund outdoor sensory and play items for children of all ages and abilities supported by Hills & Dales.
The Variety grant will provide outdoor equipment for children at both the Community Center/Childcare Center and the Residential Center to engage with others, improve physical skills and work on communication skills. The addition of these items at each facility also comes at a crucial time as clients and residents have been restricted from visiting area parks and other entertainment venues due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Variety – the Children’s Charity is dedicated to improving the lives of children who are at-risk, underprivileged, critically ill or living with special needs. Grant funding is provided to programs and initiatives that directly impact the well-being of children.
