Scholarship Recipient at SWCD

The Stephenson SWCD congratulates Jazmin Wingert as the recipient of the 2020-2021 scholarship in the amount of $500. Jazmin is enrolled as a student at the University of Wisconsin Platteville where she plans on graduating in May 2022 with an Ag Business degree.

While attending UW-Platteville Jazmin works part time as an Event Producer for Campus Programming and Relations. She is actively involved in clubs and organizations on campus serving as Student Senate Director of Marketing & Engagement, Pioneer Dairy Club President, Ag Ambassador, and Alpha Zeta Treasurer.

Jazmin is working as an intern this summer for the #1 dairy company in the world, Lactalis.

Since a very young age Jazmin has been involved on the family farm. She has exhibited swine and dairy at county, state, and national level. She was involved with 4-H for 11 years and very involved in FFA.

The scholarship fund was established through the generosity of the John Phillips family, the Steve Fest family, and the Sheldon Toelke family. This fund allows students financial assistance with their education expenses. The student must be a resident of Stephenson County, at least a junior in college and majoring in soil and/or water conservation or a related natural resource field.
