Downtown Dubuque developers reached the $750M milestone in private rehabilitation and development ventures within the Dubuque Main Street commercial district since the state of Iowa began working with the organization in 1990. This investment easily leads the state in downtown outlay. As nominated by Dubuque Main Street (DMS): The Central Express, The Driftless, and Mark Bodensteiner all received top honors from Main Street Iowa.
This year, 19 projects were selected from 155 competitive nominations submitted in 13 different categories. The awards honor outstanding accomplishments, activities and people making a difference in the state’s 55 designated Main Street Iowa districts. At a later date, DMS will look to celebrate locally these outstanding projects in downtown Dubuque.
