Applications for the 2020 Dupaco R.W. Hoefer Foundation College Scholarship Program are now available. The scholarship program has been expanded for 2020. It will now award a total of $40,000 to twenty first-time incoming students within two different programs:
- 4-Year College University Program: Ten $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to full-time students entering a four-year college or university earning an undergraduate degree.
- Community College/Trade School Program: Ten $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to students entering a community, technical or trade school, earning a degree or certificate.
The online application, instructions, and additional details regarding the scholarship program can be found at dupaco.com/scholarships. The deadline to apply is 5:00 PM, Tuesday, February 26, 2020.
Applications are awarded based on academic achievements, employment, extracurricular involvement, financial need, community involvement, and either a video or essay submission.
Dupaco Community Credit Union recognizes that education is the path to a sustainable financial future. By providing needed financial aid to college-bound students, the scholarship program helps them realize their potential, according to Dupaco R.W. Hoefer Foundation board member Bob Hoefer.
Scholarship winners will be notified by April 10, 2020.
