Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area Announces New Trustee from Dubuque

The City of Dubuque is pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Happ Olson, assistant planner in the City’s planning services department, to the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) Board of Trustees. Olson serves as staff to the City of Dubuque Historic Preservation Commission and the Long-Range Planning Commission. She has experience in historic preservation, planning, housing, local foods, and youth development.

Olson previously served as executive director for the Four Mounds Foundation, which was named one of the early SSNHA Partners in 2003. Her experience managing a partner site for 16 years, serving on the SSNHA Interpretive and Educational Signage Committee, and assisting SSNHA with partner program evaluation process will serve her well as an SSNHA board member.
