Ann McDonough Received School Foundation’s Distinguished Hometown Alumni Award

The Foundation for Dubuque Public Schools (FDPS) is pleased to announce that Ann McDonough is the recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Hometown Alumni Award. The award celebrates the achievements of local public school graduates and the positive impact they make in our community.

Ann McDonough was born and raised in Dubuque County.  She grew up in Asbury, IA along with 11 brothers and sisters. Her parents were the first to introduce her to the importance of community. She grew up learning you always helped your neighbors and your Church, you always watched out for your siblings, and you treated everyone with respect.

Ann graduated from Clarke University and University of Iowa College of Law. She has practiced corporate, education, nonprofit, domestic violence, and poverty law. Ann and her husband, Peter Healey, have owned and operated Plane Art Designs for more than 17 years. She was elected to the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors in November 2018.
