New Director at Dubuque County Early Childhood

Dubuque County Early Childhood welcomes Maria Morris as their new executive director. Morris has over 15 years of experience in executive management at nonprofit organizations. As former executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa and a volunteer working with young people, Morris is already connected to the mission of Dubuque County Early Childhood (DCEC). Morris is also an adjunct professor at the University of Dubuque.

Morris started at DCEC on November 2. She succeeds Sherri Edwards who resigned earlier this year for another opportunity.

Dubuque County Early Childhood (DCEC) is a nonprofit organization that supports children from birth to age five and those who care for them. DCEC partners with local early childhood program providers to address family success skills, learning readiness, safe and secure relationships, and healthy physical and mental development.
