Art on the River
Exhibit Opening Reception – 5 PM-7 PM @ North Patio, Grand River Center
Eleven new sculptures have been selected for the City of Dubuque’s 15th edition of its annual temporary public art exhibit, Art on the River. The theme for the 2021-22 exhibit is “Resiliency Flows” encouraging proposals that spoke to the resiliency and fortitude needed to rebuild better as communities worldwide rebound from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and continue ongoing efforts for social justice. A public reception celebrating the selected works and their creators will be held with spoken word artists, local officials, and city staff. The evening will also live music from faculty and students of the Northeast Iowa School of Music and educational activities by Heritage Works Inc. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available. Visit CityOfDubuque.org/311/Art-on-the-River.
