Season of the Arts 2022

October is National Arts & Humanities Month, a collective recognition of the importance of culture in America. Launched by Americans for the Arts more than 30 years ago, what began as a week long celebration was reestablished in 1993, along with national arts partners, as a month-long celebration.

The Season of the Arts feature section takes a closer look at up and coming artists and arts centers in our communities. After a two year lull, we are excited to once again have our issues full of exhibits, gallery openings, plays, musicals, and concerts taking place in 2022-23.

The arts are a national asset and should be available everywhere to everyone. Organizations, academic institutions, venues, museums, artists, musicians, and dancers that spearhead the area’s cultural events provide us with information throughout the year that we share with you in our events and features.

We invite you to pick up a current issue every month and enjoy all we have to offer.

To read this and other premium articles in their entirety, pick up the December 2023 issue of Julien’s Journal magazine. Click to subscribe for convenient delivery by mail, or call (563) 557-7571. Single issues are available in print at area newsstands and digitally on JuliensJournal.com.
