Ann Bauer, of Dubuque, was experiencing pain in her hip and chose to look into having the joint replaced with surgery at UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital.
After discussions with her orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bryan Trumm, Ann made the choice to undergo same day joint replacement surgery.
“I was scared because it is surgery,” Ann said. “I was very excited it would be the same day, and I wouldn’t have to stay in the hospital. When I got information about how well it goes, I couldn’t wait to have the surgery done.”
Using the anterior advantage method, Dr. Trumm was able to complete Ann’s surgery with technology assistance.
