The Dubuque Symphony Orchestra’s (DSO’s) 2021-2022 season, appropriately titled “Resonate Together,” is a celebration of the orchestra and audience coming back together, after two seasons impacted by COVID, to enjoy music that resonates with all.
“I can’t take credit for the title,” said William Intriligator, Music Director and Conductor of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. “Our marketing director, Kathleen [Hoeper] came up with it, but she said ‘I got it from you.’ The idea of the title is that this coming concert season will be about coming together and having this wonderful music that moves us so much. Not just the pandemic, but with everything else, there’s been so much division. I really feel strongly that the performances of the symphony can unite us, heal us, and inspire us. There’s the resonance of the music, the resonance of the players and audience – it takes all to be together for the magic to happen.”
DSO’s 63rd season will offer four classics concerts and popular holiday concerts at historic Five Flags Theater. The orchestra also will return to the Mississippi Moon Bar at the Diamond Jo for Ultimate Rock Hits and Ultimate Country Hits.
